The Thunderbird team got off to a challenging start, with problems getting the Django framework initialized and running correctly. Eric discovered two major bugs in the setup: three directory errors in Django’s  settings.py file. With the setup problems resolved, the Thunderbird team, started working on the initial problem of writing and testing unit tests. The Nose framework was chosen as the platform for the tests. Louie and Jay succeeded at creating the first fully functional test.
